The activation: Royal BC Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibit
The goal: to entertain and engage visitors while increasing newsletter sign-ups!
From Exhibit to Engagement
The Royal BC Museum approached us with a clear goal: to capture new leads and grow their newsletter sign-ups, building stronger connections with the community and driving ongoing engagement with the museum. By placing a selfie station outside the exhibit for the duration of Wildlife Photographer of the Year, we created an interactive experience that not only delighted guests but also delivered results, with over 5,000 new leads and newsletter sign-ups.

How Did We Achieve This?
Three core steps proved crucial to making this brand activation a success:
To participate, guests first entered their email address, signing up for the RBCM newsletter before taking their photo. A custom-branded start screen made the process clear and seamless, allowing participants to understand the exchange upfront before engaging.
Once signed up, guests chose between two award-winning images from the exhibit. Using AI-powered background removal, we placed each participant directly into their chosen wildlife scene, creating an immersive and memorable photo opportunity.
After capturing their shot, guests could instantly text or email their images to themselves, making it simple to share online and spread the museum’s brand organically across social channels.
